Indian Day

Abby's class was studying the American Indians and each child was assigned a specific tribe to research, write a paper, make a poster and present an oral presentation on. Abby was assigned the Cherokee Indian Tribe, which was great because she has ancestry from that tribe. It actually turned out to be a very fun project to work on together and we learned a lot. During the process we made sure to look into our family history as well to personalize it as much as possible. On the day of the presentations the children were able to dress up of they wanted to. Abby did a great job on her first big project and I was really proud of her desire to really learn the material and present it so well.
