Relaxed, Renewed, and Refreshed!

Chris and I just spent the best weekend (away from the kiddies) in Arizona. He had a conference for work so I tagged along and enjoyed a little R & R. I must admit that I did feel a little guilty that I was having such a great time while he had to work, but I also really enjoyed the opportunity for some "me time" before this next baby joins our family... and he was able to take a little bit of time to chill as well. I was going to write a huge long thing about every little minute and detail, but I'll just give you an overview instead. Let me start by saying that if you are looking for a weekend getaway (with your significant other, a group of adults, or a girls trip) this is the place to go. For starters, it's Arizona, so flying there is super easy and quick (and cheap usually). We stayed at a resort called "Wild Horse Pass" just outside of Chandler (about 30 minutes from the Phoenix airport) and this place has it all. Great Pool, awesome restaurants, horseback riding, golf, a little river boat, a casino, and the most amazing spa I have ever been to. This resort is located on an Indian reservation so there was nothing around but great views and everything was decorated in the style of the local tribes. Oh, and the service was second to none. Honestly, I felt like a queen. EVERYONE was so good to us. Every room has a view and they are great rooms! I pretty much spent my four days reading, napping, walking, sitting by the pool, hanging out at the spa and scrapbooking. It was just nice to be able to do whatever I wanted whenever I wanted without any distractions or people needing me. I was grateful to have some time with Chris and hope we can go again sometime when he doesn't have to work. So, these are all the pictures I took... odd for me, I know, but I was way to busy chillin' to be bothered with a camera.

Me on our balcony. I know... nice hair... it was windy! But don't I look so relaxed?

The view from our balcony.

The view from our balcony just as the sun set. Gorgeous!

Chris and I... we had just eaten one of the best meals of my life... Seriously.
