Another year older... and wiser, too

Cassidy turned 19 on November 3rd. I feel so bad that I am so late getting it posted, but it was right after the 3 weeks of crazy and then it has taken me way longer to get caught up than I planned. I know Cass understands because she was there.

We celebrated with a small family gathering and her very favorite Coldstone cake.

Cassidy has had a really challenging year. It has been full of ups and downs and a lot of becoming an adult type growing pains. In the months approaching her birthday she did a lot of soul searching and made some decisions about her life in general and where she wanted to go. She noticed that her challenges really all began right around her 18th birthday and decided that starting on her 19th birthday things were going to be different. She was going to do what she needed to do to become the person she really wants to be. She decided to chop her hair of as a symbol of her fresh start. Don't you LOVE it? I think it is so cute. She wears it well and it looks really good with her adorable face... it makes her beautiful blue eyes stand out even more and totally fits her fun, young, perky personality.

So, Happy 19th Birthday, Cassidy. We are really proud of the goals you have set for this coming year and for the wonderful woman you are becoming! Face your challenges head on and they will make you a strong person and help you go far in life. We love you so much and are so grateful you are a part of our family.
